The base-by-base tables are being loaded from the 2026 Department of Defense rate files. Until they are in, the essentials:
- BAH depends on your duty station's ZIP code, your pay grade and whether you have at least one dependent.
- An E-5 with dependents at Fort Bragg receives $1,806 a month in 2026; without dependents, $1,527.
- Rates for 2027 are usually announced in mid-December and take effect January 1.
- If your area's rate falls, rate protection keeps your current amount while you stay at the same station.
